St. Joseph Church

Please join us at St. Joe’s on the evening of Wednesday, December 11, for a “Light in the Darkness” Holy Hour of Adoration, starting immediately after the 6:30 p.m. Mass. The days are dark, but our Light is coming! This is a perfect way to stay focused on what we are really preparing for this Advent.

In 2025, were once again hosting a 300 Club fundraiser for St. Joseph Parish. We will have 300 tickets for sale at $100.00 each (you may pay $10/month). They will be sold starting in December, 2024, and running until November 1, 2025. We will have a fantastic dinner at St. Nicholas Banquet Center, 755 S. Cleveland Ave. (Suffield Twp.), Mogadore, Ohio 44260, on Saturday, October 18, 6 to 11 p.m., where you will have a one in 300 chance of walking away with $7,500.00. Join us for an evening of fun at this beautiful banquet center and delicious food. Tickets are available for purchase by contacting Debbie Kruis (330-221-0272) or Mary Ann Feddor (330-842-0505). To remember a loved one at Christmas you may wish to make a donation to the St. Joseph Christmas Flower Fund. Please use the special Christmas Flower envelope included in your contribution envelope packet or online. Be sure to PRINT the names of those you wish to memorialize and indicate whether your contribution is “in memory of” (deceased) or “in honor of” (living). We ask that your intentions be turned in by Sunday, December 15. These donations not only help provide our beautiful environment but also assist with church environment expenses throughout the year.

Do you have an hour to help save a life? Just that short amount of time donating blood can mean a lifetime to a patient battling illness or injury. Roll up a sleeve and join us in giving back to the community. St. Joe's will be hosting our next Blood Drive on Monday, December 16, Noon to 6 p.m. in Hughes Hall. As of December 5, the Diocese of Youngstown is at 101% of the goal, with gifts and pledges totaling over $4,046,000 for the 2024 Annual Diocesan Appeal: One in Hope, One in Mission. This is absolutely amazing. At St. Joseph Parish, we have received gifts and pledges totaling $38,792.00 toward our goal of $34,500.00. That is 112.44% of our goal. Thank you for working together to help our parish reach and actually surpass our goal. We are in the process of bringing back a Funeral Luncheon Ministry team as part of our service to the bereaved. Graciously hosted by women and men of the parish who have dedicated themselves to helping, this ministry will be coordinated by JoDee Romano. Volunteers will help with set-up, donating baked goods, preparing and serving food, and cleaning up.
