As we work to make needed improvements to our parish facilities, this committee was formed to brainstorm and coordinate ways to raise money to accomplish them. If you would like to assist in any of our fundraisers, please contact John or Debbie Kruis (330-618-3604 or 330-221-0272).

This parish fundraiser currently follows the Ohio Lottery's 3-Digit midday and evening drawings. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold numbered #000 - #999. Each ticket is good for the entire month. Tickets are $5.00 each and you may purchase the same number for the entire year. Winning tickets are worth $50.00 (payouts mailed weekly). Proceeds to help with our church improvements.
In December of 2019, an easy way to generate some funds for parish improvements was started through recycling aluminum cans. Collect your clean cans in plastic bags, crushing if possible, and deposit in the designated box located in front of the church under the portico. There is also a box that can be found just inside the entrance to the school building. Thank you for participating in this effort!
385 lbs. & $97.75 as of 9/29/20!
#iGiveCatholic is the official Catholic initiative of Giving Tuesday, which is a national day of observance for making gifts to nonprofit organizations. Giving Tuesday is observed every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which in 2020 is December 1.
Thanks to the Catholic Extension Society, our diocese received a grant to participate in this program along with nearly 40 other Catholic dioceses across the country.
St. Joseph’s will be participating with the goal of funding our Parking Lot and Driveway Paving Project. Please click on the "Donate Now" button below to participate.

What Is #iGiveCatholic?
#iGiveCatholic is a Giving Day for the faithful across the nation (and the globe!) to come together and raise as many charitable dollars as possible for Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries in participating arch/dioceses. Last year, #iGiveCatholic raised more than $7.4 million for 3,500+ organizations in 39 arch/dioceses across the U.S.
When Is #iGiveCatholic?
It takes place on #GivingTuesday, December 1, 2020 from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for gifts given online at www.igivecatholic.org, or offline through a donation of cash or check directly to the Catholic organization of the donor’s choice. In addition, there is an Advanced Giving Day phase for both online and offline “pre-Giving Day” gifts running from 12:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16 through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2020.
Why Host a Day of Catholic Giving on #GivingTuesday?
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for purchasing gifts for loved ones—Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We also have a day to support local business—Small Business Saturday. Beginning its ninth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to generosity fueled by the power of social media, collaboration, and a lot of publicity. #GivingTuesday also kicks off the charitable season when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
Who Can Donate? Is There a Minimum Amount?
Anyone can donate! Because it is so much easier for people to give online to their favorite ministry from wherever they are in the world, most people will donate by this method. However, donors are welcome to bring a donation of cash or check to their parish, school, or nonprofit ministry. The gift will be entered and included in the leaderboard totals viewed online by the ministry's administrator. Donations via check or cash can be manually entered by organizations in their Admin Dashboard either as an offline gift or as a matching fund. The minimum online donation is $25.00. However, gifts of check or cash in any amount are gladly accepted offline by our participating organizations, and can be mailed to them directly, or dropped off!
Are there fees associated with donations to #iGiveCatholic?
The convenience of donating through a Giving Day platform (with special features and extra security measures) means there are fees. The fees cover tech support, marketing materials, training, and other behind the scenes components allowing the organizations to focus on their mission. All donations will be paid to the chosen ministry net the platform, ACH, and/or credit card transaction fees. ACH fees total 4% plus $3.00. Credit card transaction fees total 6.2% plus $0.30. Donors have the option to cover these fees at the time of donation, and they will receive a tax deduction on the full donation amount.
Will Donors Receive a Tax Receipt?
All individuals who donate online at igivecatholic.org during the Giving Day and/or Advanced Giving Day phase will receive a tax receipt via email once they have made their donation. Offline donors will also receive a tax receipt when their offline gift and email address are entered by the organization into their dashboard.
O Lord, giver of life,
we know that all we are,
and all we have
are gifts from You.
We live in a world
that celebrates consumption.
But You call us
to be good stewards
fo all You have entrusted to us.
May this #GivingTuesday prompt us
to gratitude and generosity,
that brings nourishment to the nungry
and hope to the hopeless.
We pray that #iGiveCatholic
may be a miracle of loaves and fishes,
where every gift shared lovingly
from a grateful heart
becomes bread for the multitudes,
and the ordinary becomes extraordinary.
In this giving and receiving,
may our hearts rejoice
in You alone,
who are Lord for ever and ever.
Amen.
