St. Joseph Church
The annual Ox Roast Fair is just one of many things that St. Joe's is involved in throughout the year. Did you know that we have dozens of groups, ministries and activities? In addition to our parish ministries and organizations, we have a whole host of groups that use our facilities and grounds for their meetings and activities. You are invited to browse through the pages of this website to see what St. Joseph Church is all about. Be sure to stop by the St. Joseph's booth to learn more about St. Joseph Cares, Respect Life, and all the other aspects of our parish.
Girl Scouts
Crestwood Area Girl Scouts collect the donations for our local food cupboard, the 4C's. On SUNDAY ONLY, parking is just $4.00 per vehicle with a nonperishable donation at the Fair's entrance. Needs of the 4C's include canned or boxed foods, cleaning supplies, paper products and personal care products. If your Girl Scout troop would like to volunteer to help at this year's Ox Roast Fair, contact the Parish Office (330-274-2253).
We also have support from many community businesses and organizations. In addition to sponsorships and donations, volunteers from Jake's Eats, the Downtown Mantua Revitalization Committee (DMRC), Crestwood Youth Wrestling, Crooked River Flowers, Gifts & More, 8th Count Dance Studio have been a part of our big event and very much appreciated.
Knights of Columbus Council #3766
Members of the parish who also belong to the Mantua chapter of this great organization of Catholic men volunteer at the Fair. A tremendous amount of time is offered helping with the Fair's maintenance, set-up, and take-down as well as working throughout the Fair. Knight members and their families help put on the Kiddie Tractor Pulls, Thank you gentlemen of the Knights!
Scouts BSA Troops 575 & 7575
This great group of young people and their families continue delicious fund raising efforts with their Sausage Sandwich booth. This hard-working group serves a savory sandwich, chips, and bottled water! The ladies of BSA 7575 handle the Soft Serve Booth. Don't forget the tremendous effort these scouts put forth in helping with Fair set-up, taking care of the trash, cleaning the grounds each evening and take-down of the Fair. Thanks, everyone!
Cub Scout Pack 3575
The Cubs will be dispensing soft drink products at the Pop Booth once again this year. They'll also be helping out by manning the Lemon Shake-Up Booth. Stop by and quench your thirst.
