The Eucharist is the source and summit of the whole Christian life. A Eucharistic procession, therefore, is a public witness of the veneration toward the most holy Eucharist, conducted through public streets. By processing with the Holy Eucharist in a reverent, prayerful and joyful manner, Catholics can honor Christ in the Eucharist and serve as witnesses to the intimate presence of God in the world and in each individual. Processions powerfully display the Incarnation, or God becoming human, and thus speak of his merciful love for all who journey to eternal life with him. Members of the Men of St. Joseph spirituality group process the Eucharistic through the fairgrounds at the start of the Ox Roast Fair.
Our Friday night fireworks display is sure to please! Provided by Pyrotecnico Fireworks, they are shot off beginning at 10 p.m. from the clearing in the woods just south of the parking lot near the playground area.

This event will be on Sunday at 5 p.m. in front of the church where the motorcycle parking is located. Deacon Gerry Scopilliti will lead the short service include prayers and reading of biblical passages, and motorcycles are sprinkled with holy water (participants may also receive a pin). This event provides an opportunity for camaraderie and friendship in order to promote a positive image of motorcycling to the community at large.

With members of the Mantua Knights of Columbus Council #3766 providing their time and equipment, this is a real cute event that shows the heart and determination of those little ones. Built to imitate the look and feel of a real tractor pull, these pedal-powered vehicles are a big hit with boys and girls aged 3 to 9 years old (and plenty of spectators, too!). Held on Saturday of the Fair, sign-ups begin at 5:00 p.m. with three age categories (ages 3, 4 & 5; 6 & 7; and 8 & 9). Registration fee is $2.00 per child. Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Kiddie Tractor Pulls are held on the pavement right in front of the Lemon Shake-Up Booth and near the Main Raffle and Announcer's Booth. Participation prizes and trophies in each category are awarded. Visit our Ox Thanks page for the results.
Another event to please the kids (and adults, too!) is the popular Frog Jumping Contest on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. Entry fee is $1.00. Bring your own jumper or "rent-a-frog" for $1.00 each. Cash prizes, a stuffed frog toy, and Ox Roast Fair T-shirts are awarded to the best of the bunch. Look for a hoppin' good time! To view a list of the top finishers, please visit our Ox Thanks page.
Look for a great spot just for kids where families can enjoy good, clean fun in our church-run games as you enter the Fair. Located in the shade near the food booths, this enclosed area is perfect for families with young children who can play, relax, and take care of little ones' needs. Here you'll find many fun games all run by St. Joseph Parish volunteers including the ever-popular Duck Pond, "fishing" for Turtles, Lucky Lollipops, Crazy Ball, Frog Hop, Basketball, Pin the Tail on the Ox. Look for some new games just added in 2022 - Plinko, Cornhole, Ring Toss & Bean Bag Can Toss. No tickets to buy - simply donate what you feel the games are worth to you! Prizes for everyone!
More New Games Coming!
New This Year!
