How To Get Involved
There are a number of opportunities to support the largest, three-day fair in northern Portage County. We invite you to take some time to look at the various areas where you can become a part of this annual fundraising effort of St. Joseph’s. All sponsors will be a part of announcements throughout the Fair and publicity efforts which include our weekly parish bulletin, parish website and Ox Roast Fair and parish Facebook pages, flyers, newspapers, etc. Provide your logo and/or website and we’ll incorporate them in our promotions as well.

Each year we offer a limited-edition, plastic mug with a unique design at our Beer Booths and T-Shirt Booth. This area of the fairgrounds is designed just for kids where families can enjoy good, clean fun in our church-run games. Located in the shade near the food booths, this enclosed area is perfect for families with young children who can play and relax. Here you'll find the ever-popular Duck Pond and other fun games all run by St. Joseph Parish volunteers. Prizes for everyone! Face Painting and some other entertainment surprises are also in this area. -
EMS

For the safety of our patrons, the Ox Roast Fair provides an EMS unit of the Mantua-Shalersville Fire Department. This emergency service is available on the grounds throughout Fair hours. We thank you for contributing toward this expense.

Frog Jumping Contest

Another event to please the kids (and adults, too!) is the popular Frog Jumping Contest on Sunday afternoon. Contestants bring their own jumpers or "rent-a-frog". Cash prizes, a stuffed frog toy, and Ox Roast Fair t-shirts are awarded to the best of the bunch. Look for a hoppin' good time!

Kiddie Tractor Pull

$250.00 Event Age Group (3)The Mantua Knights of Columbus Council #3766 provide their time and equipment for this is a real cute event on Saturday. Held for boys and girls aged 3 to 9 years old (and plenty of spectators, too!), cash prizes, trophies, and participation ribbons in each category are awarded. We’re looking for sponsors for each of the three age groups.

This event is held on Sunday afternoon in front of the church and school building where the motorcycle parking is located. Hundreds of fair-goers come pouring into the fairgrounds to see the live bands, view the pulls, enjoy the big midway, and get their fill of delicious Fair food.

Pull Sponsorships
We invite businesses to sponsor our tractor pulls and get your name out to more than 30,000 people during our three-day event. On Friday we have our Antique Tractor Pull. Saturday’s event includes the Tractor & Semi Pull. On Sunday we hold our 4WD Pick-Up Pull. Your business will have an ad in our Tri-Fold flyer, posts will be made on our Facebook page, and be announced throughout the pull and your company banner will be displayed on the track fence throughout the Fair. Area businesses may display their company banner on the track fence all three days of the Fair. Announcements will also be made throughout the pull events and Facebook posts will highlight our sponsors. Banners may be dropped off at the Parish Center.
