A native of Jefferson, Ohio in Ashtabula County, Fr. Shawn is the youngest of six children. He graduated from Jefferson Area High School, attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ava Maria College in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and then North American College in Rome for seminary formation and theological studies. He was ordained July 29, 2006, and has served our diocese at St. Charles Parish (Boardman), Christ the Good Shepherd Parish (Campbell), Holy Family Parish (Brewster and Navarre), St. Mary and St. Joseph Parish (Newton Falls), prior to coming to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish (Aurora) in August of 2019.
In December 2021, Fr. Conoboy received a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Duquesne University in December 2021. On February 7, 2022, Bishop Bonnar appointed him as Director of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs for the Diocese of Youngstown. Since 2007, Fr. Conoboy has been a member of the Youngstown-Warren Chapter of the Society of St. John Chrysostom, an ecumenical association of clergy and lay people organized for the purpose of promoting an understanding of Eastern Christianity. Since 2008, he has served the interdenominational efforts of Hartville Migrant Ministry, including celebrating Mass in Spanish.
As of May 28, 2022, Fr. Shawn has been appointed pastor of St. Joseph and St. Ambrose while maintaining his responsibilities as pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Ecumenical and Interfaith Officer, and part-time professor at Walsh University. He will work with Fr. Chris Luoni, pastor of St. Joan of Arc, Streetsboro, and a parochial vicar (yet to be named) to serve the needs of the faithful of all four parishes in northern Portage County (St. Joseph Church, St. Ambrose Church, St. Joan of Arc, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church).

Born March 18, 1967 and a native of Austintown, Fr. Joe was ordained in 1995 after receiving a Master of Divinity at Mount St. Mary Seminary. He served as parochial vicar at St. Patrick in Kent from 1995 to 2000, then as parochial vicar at St. Joan of Arc in Canton from 2000 to 2003. He has also served at Lady of Mount Carmel and Mother of Sorrows in parishes in Ashtabula, and Christ the Good Shepherd in Campbell as well as at Regina Coeli in Alliance, St. Joseph in Washington Township, and most recently at St. Rose in Girard.

Deacon Gerelome "Gerry" Scopilliti was born and grew up in the Cleveland area and graduated from Parma High School. He works in the construction and building industry and is member of the sheet metal workers union. He has three lovely daughters, Amanda, René, and Adrianna and one granddaughter.
He was ordained in the fall of 2008 and previously served at St. Ambrose Parish in Garrettsville. As ministers of Word, deacons proclaim the Gospel, preach, and teach in the name of the Church. As of September 6, 2022, he was appointed deacon to the four parishes of northern Portage County (St. Joseph, St. Ambrose, St. Joan of Arc, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help). As ministers of Sacrament, deacons baptize, lead the faithful in prayer, witness marriages, and conduct wake and funeral services. As ministers of Charity, deacons are leaders in identifying the needs of others, then marshaling the Church's resources to meet those needs. Along with his duties as deacon, Gerry also ministers in the areas of evangelization, marriage preparation, helps with PSR and ministering to our youth, and volunteers his time with the Ox Roast Fair. In his free time he enjoys riding his motorcycle, singing karaoke, and socializing.
Areas of Responsibility: Assist the pastor, distribute Holy Communion, preach the homily, work on parish committees, teach the faith, baptize, witness marriages, perform funeral and burial services outside of Mass, OCIA.

Born in Amherst, Ohio, Margaret W. Haney graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in Amherst. She earned her B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College and Teacher Certification and M.A. from BGSU. Previously Director of Religious Education at St. Mary & St. Joseph Parish in Newton Falls, Peg joined the staff September 1, 2011. In 2021, she took on the additional responsibility of the PSR Program at St. Ambrose Church in Garrettsville. Married to Jack, the couple has five children and currently resides in Shalersville. She brings with her a life of experiences, as an educator, an active church volunteer and most importantly, a parent. Her hobbies include sewing.

Currently working four days a week in the Parish Office, Kathi grew up in Stow where she graduated from Stow High School completing the Intensive Office Education program. She has worked as a receptionist for H & R Block, Inc. and as a secretary for Stow High School's Athletic Director, Kent's Huntington Bank loan department, Kelly Services, and Lamson & Sessions in Kent. Living in Shalersville Twp. since 1984, she and her husband, George, have three children, Jeff who's a mechanical engineer, James-Peter a Dominican priest, and daughter Wendy (Ralph) Harner who's married and two sons, Gabriel and Liam, and works as an Occupational Therapist. She serves as a Eucharistic Minister and volunteers for St. Joseph Parish activities and is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts. Kathi also enjoys gardening, hiking, trail building, genealogy, photography, traveling, and spending time with family.

Handling bookkeeping responsibilities as Business Officer Manager, Cindy was born and grew up in the "Old Brooklyn" area on the west side of Cleveland. She is a graduate of the first class of Erieview High School (formerly St. Peter's) in downtown Cleveland and is a licensed cosmetologist. Previous employments include a hair dresser for many funeral homes, Funeral Director's Assistant at Tomon & Sons Funeral Home and Johnson Romito Funeral Home, Family Services Counselor at Crown Hill Cemetery, Secretary/Dental Assistant at Dr. Betzholds, D.D.S. (Aurora), and Secretary/Receptionist at the Chiropractic Clinic of Solon. Married to husband, Ron, in September of 1975, the couple have three adult children, Stephen (Tamra), M. Scott (Denise), and Cadie (Eric Shaffer), and four grandchildren. Moving to Mantua in 1984, Cindy has been a member of St. Joseph Parish since 1989 and is involved in the St. Joseph's Garden Club, K of C Women's Auxiliary, Reception Committee, and as a Eucharistic Minister, and former Eucharistic Bread Baker. Her hobbies include spending lots of time with her grandchildren, gardening, crafts, painting, playing cards, and baking.

Marcy was born and raised south of Boston. She graduated from Bryant University with a BS in Business Administration. After getting married in 1996, her husband Don and children took an opportunity to move to Birmingham, Alabama and stayed for 12 years. While in Alabama, Marcy converted to Catholicism and has continued to learn about her faith. Marcy worked in both the PSR Office as Assistant DRE and helped in the Parish Office of the large parish.
Her husband's job opportunity took them to Northeast Ohio, where they settled in Akron for three years and then moved to Mantua in October of 2021. They have two children attending college. Marcy and Don stay busy volunteering with the any group helping the homeless or food insecure. Her hobbies include hiking with her two dogs, cycling, gardening, watching Notre Dame football, and attending almost anything with “festival” in the name. She looks forward to getting to know her new community of St. Joseph Parish.
In 2022, she took on the job of Portage North Region Communication Coordinator. The new role was created to bring about more effective communications in the Portage North region—which includes the parishes of St. Ambrose-Garrettsville, St Joan of Arc-Streetsboro, St. Joseph-Mantua and Our Lady of Perpetual Help-Aurora.

Raised in Edinburg, Ohio, Cindy graduated from Southeast High School. She has worked in accounting, sales, and marketing all her life and currently works in the office full time for an industrial hose distributor in Brecksville, Ohio, since 2005. Previous members of St. Joan of Arc Parish in Streetsboro and now parishioners of St. Joseph’s, Cindy lives in Shalersville with husband Keith, and two sons, Nathan and Joseph. She volunteers for Boy Scouts of America on the local pack/troop level as committee chair since 2005 and also on the district level. She was also Seneca District’s 2017 Committee Chair of the Year. Cindy has a passion for animals of all kinds, especially dogs.
Areas of Responsibility: Ox Roast Fair bookkeeping, budgeting, licenses, contracts, and any of the office dealings for our big event and working with members of the Core Group and chairpeople.

Bill was raised mostly in Kent, Ohio and received his BA in Music from Kent State University. He has completed graduate courses leading towards a Masters in Music from Cleveland State University. Before coming to St Joseph's, he worked at St. Mary Church in Hudson, Ohio as Music Director for their Life Teen style Liturgy and youth ministry program. He has been married to Jennie Morris Davies since February 29, 2016.
Areas of Responsibility: Developing and promoting music of the church, lead the choir, serves on Liturgy Committee, oversees maintenance of music library, materials, supplies, musical instruments, etc., funerals, weddings.

Lydia has been a member of St. Joseph Parish since 1986. She has served St. Joseph Parish as a Eucharistic Minister, has been a part of Music Ministry and as a Cantor since 1997, and Accompanist since 2008. Lydia has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kent State University (1984). She attended Kent State University and completed post-graduate work in Special Education (2001-2002) and earned a Master’s degree in Teaching from Marygrove College in 2010. Lydia taught at St. Therese School (Garfield Hts.), Immaculate Conception School (Ravenna), and St. Joseph School (Mantua) before joining the Crestwood Schools in 2000. Lydia currently teaches at Crestwood Middle School as a 6th grade Language Arts teacher. She is a Curriculum Liaison and a Resident Educator Mentor for Crestwood Schools. Lydia and her husband, Greg, reside in Shalersville. They have three children: Rachel (Shaun), Philip, Jacob and two grandchildren.

Mary Ann Feddor serves in this “behind-the-scenes” volunteer position that makes the priest’s job on Sundays less stressful by taking care of keeping the sacristy in order, that items for Masses are available, giving the members the tools that they need, and keeping a watchful eye on the house of God and the liturgical environment. She has been a member of the parish since 1980. She was married to her husband Carl for nearly 50 years before his passing in 2013 and together they have two children, John and Blanche, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Mary Ann is involved in a variety of ministries and organizations including Eucharistic minister, Mass set-up, Worship Committee, Collection Counter, Ox Roast Fair worker, and past Parish Council and K of C Women's Auxiliary member. Having retired from Baldwin, Inc. after 41 years, she enjoys bingo, dancing, and exercise. She's the humble recipient of several Knights of Columbus awards which include 2012 Women's Auxiliary Woman of the Year award, 2015 Volunteer of the Year, and 2012-2013 Parish Family of the Year. Taking pride in serving where ever is needed, Mary Ann is a blessing to our parish community.

Dan and his family have been members of the parish since 2009. Residing in Hiram, he and his wife, Wendy, have four kids, Dan, with the Rocky River PD, Joe and Pete both in the U.S. Army Infantry, and Emily, a student and gifted artist. Graduating from St. Edward High School, Dan served 28 years as a Cleveland police officer (retired). He enjoys motorcycling and is a member of the Catholic Cross Bearers Motorcycle Ministry. He takes part in the Men of St. Joseph spirituality group.
